Ngige Leads APC ‘s Campaign As Nwoye Vows To Beat Obiano

The Minister of Labour, Employment and Productivity, Senator Dr. Chris Ngige has been named as the leader of the Dr Tony Campaign Organization which was inaugurated at Finotel Hoel, Awka on late Sunday (October 1, 2017) with Osita Ezenwa as the Director-General.

The Campaign team was inaugurated by the State Chairman of the Party, Barrister Emeka Ibeh who also said the occasion was scheduled to officially present the flag bearer of APC, Dr. Tony Nwoye to the party members as a starting point in the party’s journey to occupation of Agu-Awka Government House.
He charged the team to bring their wealth of experience to win the election, noting that it is only in APC that there is no defection after the unparalleled, fairest and freest primary , adding that a date would be set aside to unveil those who have joined APC.

Ibeh stated that the delay of the take-of of the campaign was due to the setting up of the APC Reconciliation Committee led by the running mate to Nwoye, Mr. Dozie Ikedife Jnr which report would be submitted mid-week.

He accused the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) government of Governor Willie Obiano of not having the love of the people of the State.

Corroborating him, the APC gubernatorial candidate, Dr. Nwoye accused governor Obiano of importing those he described as foreigners at the expense of more resourceful local politicians and promised to treat politicians as professionals and give them their due share as stakeholders in his administration if he wins.
Dr. Nwoye who was named as the helmsman of the Finance Directorate appreciated his rivals who lost the primary election for their support to his campaign and urged party members to return to their booths and wards to campaign in order to deliver, as according to him, the winner would be decided by the voters come November 18, 2017.

He described his closest runner-up, Senator Andy Uba as his boss, but added that when it comes to a contest like the election, he would fight to win.

The APC candidate emphasized that the four weeks lost in seeking the reconciliation of party members would not be in vain as it would afford the party the opportunity to go into the campaign as a united family.

Earlier in his vote of thanks, the DG of the Campaign Organization, Prince Ezenwa assured that the team would relocate to the grassroots to canvass for vote and hoped that APC would celebrate victory on November 19, this year when the result of the election must have been announced.

Among the Directorate set up were Administration,  Strategy and Planning, W omen Mobilization, Youth Mobilization, Religious Affairs, Contact and Mobilization, Logistics, Security Services, Markets, Media and Publicity, Finance, Non-Indigenes, Medical Services, Special Duties and Legal Matters.

The event was graced by Nwoye's rivals including George Moghalu, Engr. Barth Nwibe, John Bosco-Onunkwo and Barrister Nonso Madu,
