$350m Loan: Shehu Sani in fresh trouble as group gives the lawmaker 2 weeks ultimatum
Kaduna Patriotic Front (KPF) had lambasted Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central, for “sabotaging the genuine request for a $350 million foreign loan meant to further support masses-oriented projects by the Nasir Ahmed El-rufai administration”.
A statement signed by its Chairman, Abubakar Ibrahim and issued to newsmen in Zaria, the group accused Senator Shehu Sani of collaborating with “vicious enemies of Kaduna State to sabotage all efforts towards development projects”.
The group lamented that while all other states would access the loan for the progress of their people, only Kaduna would lose out simply because oftheir irresponsive representative in the Senate. It would be recalled that the Kaduna State government has satisfied all requirements for securing the loan based on available facts about it’s ongoing efficient debt servicing strategy, robust revenue base and clearly-defined projects to be executed with the loan.
The group condemned what it described as “backstabbing the masses who voted Senator Shehu Sani into office, by deliberately sabotaging the final endorsement of the loan process”.
The group also gave Senator Shehu Sani “two weeks ultimatum to do the needful, by ensuring that the loan process is concluded for the benefit of the people of Kaduna state”. It then warned that “failure on the part of Senator Sani to act accordingly, would leave us with no option than to mobilize 1 million Kaduna people for protest at the premises of the National Assembly, until our demand is met.” Azeez Dogara had lambasted Senator Shehu Sani, representing Kaduna Central, for “sabotaging the genuine request for a $350 million foreign loan meant to further support masses-oriented projects by the Elrufai administration”.
