2019: 2 million youths ready to work for Lamido – Coordinator

Over 2 million northern youths have expressed interest in working for the actualization of the Sule Lamido presidency in 2019, the North-west zonal coordinator of the Lamido For President Group, Alhaji Sani Liti Yankwani, has said.

Yankwani, who spoke with newsmen at the zonal office of the organisation in Kaduna, said though the office was commissioned not long ago, it had been besieged by enthusiastic youths who believed in the concept of the Lamido presidency.

He said the youths had offered themselves to work in the seven states that make up the zone.

He said unlike in 2015 when people were afraid to work against the All Progressives Congress (APC) presidential candidate, Muhammadu Buhari, this time the youths want a change as most of the promises made by the APC government had remained unfulfilled.

Yankwani said the campaign for the presidency had moved beyond sentiments and emotions because people had started asking critical questions that would inform their choices in the next general elections. PDP faults proposed amendment to EDSIEC law.
